Picture Post

 

Andrew left for the ship last week-- same ship as last trip-  The Houston- going from Houston Texas to Philadelphia carrying oil. 

Around here, Ruthanna gets lots of foot messages.  She will come and hold her foot up and take her sock off indicating she wants one.

One last nap together-- the night before Andrew left last week

Skyping with Andrew.  Andrew plays games with her and sings songs on the computer and Ruthanna will put her head just a few inches from his to be nice and close.  Sometimes she'll be in the other room and he'll be on Skype calling her name and she'll come running and sit down close to the computer.

When the timer goes off, Ruthanna takes the oven mit and stands by the oven door ready to help take whatever out.

My favorite muffins....

 

 

....are the ones that Ruthanna is begging to make.  She gets the bowl out and grabs the measuring cups ready to start baking.

 The oven light must be on so she can watch them bake away in there....she checks on them often and waits for that timer to go off!

 Hooray! They are done!

Fun last week....

 Last week we went to the mall to the play area to hang out for a bit...Ruthanna loves the slide and crawling around on the other things...

 On Friday we went to the library to get signed up for a reading program in Milbank. Ruthanna played in the children's area and enjoyed the slide there and sitting at the table.

These pictures were taken last August, soon after Ruthanna turned a year old. We wanted to get a summery/fall scene for our Christmas cards and take something before Andrew left for the ship.  Finally after several pictures we got one that worked....still fun to look back at all the other ones though and see what we were choosing from.
