What we've been up to lately...

We've been busy around here on the little farm doing different projects.  Here's a little glimpse of the last week or so.

 Andrew has been working on the garden-- disking it and then plowing it up to get it usable for next spring.

 Painting on the hog barn/chicken coop... for now it's the home to some chicks and rabbits.

 Andrew dug a trench and then put cables so we could have electricity in the hog barn and garage.

 Then he rewired in the chicken barn so we have more/better outlets and lighting.

 We put a new door on the backside of the house-- the other one was older and let lots of air in-- a good project to have done before winter and the snow blows.

 I've been trying new crockpot recipes lately. This one was a chicken/pineapple one.

And, the latest project. Today Andrew is working on making a fence from the garden shed to the drive through road.  He dug a bunch of holes, put some posts in and will use hog panels and other 2X6's to finish it up.

 We recently purchased a swing with a mobile on it. It also plays music.  Here is Ruthanna today, at 3 weeks enjoying the swing.

3 years ago today....

was our first date!  Andrew came to Rosholt after I got out of school and visited me!  I remember when he showed up and I took him out to the colony where I was teaching and gave him a tour...it was my second week of school I remember. Anyways, since then, we've gotten married, celebrated our one year anniversary and now have a 2 1/2 week old.
