Tubing

What a rush, Rebecca and I went down the steepest hill on our tubes and I managed to video tape it. I am very thankful that she likes to do outdoor things and exciting things like this and amusement park rides, etc. It is great bonding time and just plain fun. We can't wait until the snow falls again this winter so we can get back on the slopes.

Sailing the high seas.

Well it has been over a month now that I have been away from the love of my life and the only way I can deal with the lonliness and sadness is to stay busy and that is what I do.
I am aboard the MV Virginian, hauling ammunition to Kuwait and a few other countries. I am the 3rd assistant engineer and work on everything from the vacuum toilets that we have to the 8000 horsepower main engines.

I can't wait to get home to the love of my life and marry her!

Cooking with my Niece

This last weekend, Kayla and I did some baking in the kitchen. We decided to make muffins. She likes to help in the kitchen and is good at assisting.

Mixing things up
Kayla putting the batter in the muffin tins
Ready to bake the muffins
The finished product...ready to be enjoyed by the family!

Scrapbookin'

One of the projects that I've been working on is scrapbooking. I am trying to make a scrapbook of Andrew and I during our courtship that I can have at the wedding for guests to look at.
Getting the pictures laid out. These two pages that I'm working on is the engagement weekend...brings back happy memories!
Carefully cutting the right colors of pages. It's fun to coordinate the page colors with the pictures.
And, the pages are just about done... I still need to write on these pages and then I can add them to my book.

Thinkin' Spring

This week definitely has felt like spring is on the way....we had a couple of days with temperatures in the 40's and one day it even hit 50 degrees. A nice welcome change from the cold weather we had a few weeks ago!

My house with all the melting snow that has taken place this week
Looking down the street where I live...notice all the mud and road that's able to be seen...

In other news, we started the fourth quarter this week, so we must be on the last stretch of the year and moving towards the end! :)
